The Circle
A bold and lyrical portrayal of two brothers, David and Sanchez, living on a Hackney council estate in East London. The film combines dance with documentary giving a compelling insight into their family and friendships, the stigmas they face daily and how they process their emotions.

Ugly
Perdita Stott’s Ugly looks at the hugely relatable niggles and woes of life as a woman in the modern world of hyper-scrutiny and impossible beauty standards. It’s very strong subject matter but in bursting at the seams with lamentations of self-consciousness and subsequent self-obsession.
“Bengo delivers some striking
displays of physicality” ★★★ Theatre Weekly
“Nice theatricality and stylised storytelling”
★★★ Always Time for Theatre

Belly of the Beast
“What are schools for?”
YoungMartha, a bright and agreeable student, falls in love with Gia, who is over school because she claims that teachers don’t care about girls like her. Together, they try to rectify a perceived injustice, revealing deeper flaws in the school system.
NowMartha enters the teaching industry, optimistic about making a positive change, but soon begins a quick journey towards disillusionment when they realise the school is run like a business, with stiff hierarchies and an environment ripe for abuse.
At the heart of the story lies the question: can one person affect positive change, irrespective of how little power they seem to hold, and at what personal cost?
